During the third quarter of 2021, the top 5 medical apps in Belgium showed notable performance trends across downloads and active users. Here’s a detailed look at how each app fared based on Sensor Tower data.

CovidSafeBE, developed by the eHealth Platform, saw a significant number of downloads, peaking at around 160K in the last week of June. Throughout the quarter, weekly downloads gradually declined, reaching about 66K by the end of September. The app's weekly active users, however, showed a steady increase, starting from approximately 276K at the end of June and rising to nearly 578K by the end of September.

CovidScanBE also by the eHealth Platform, had a more varied download trend. Weekly downloads fluctuated, starting at 6.2K at the end of June, dipping in mid-July, and then peaking at around 21K by the end of September. Active users followed a similar pattern, growing from about 12.6K at the end of June to nearly 50K by the end of September.
